About The Position

Provides leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care. Uses the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and education for patients and families. Communicates pertinent patient and family information effectively to the health care team, participates in finding solutions when patient goals vary, and ensures those solutions are implemented.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS).

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• For RN Lactation Consultant: One to two years as a Lactation Consultant/Specialist preferred.
