Registered Nurse assigned to the hospital float pool, expected to float throughout the hospital, including the Emergency Department, ER hold, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU. This is a float pool position, with Med-Surg ratios of up to 1:6. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling; block schedule requests are not accepted. No call is required. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. The position requires a minimum of two years of experience, and the unit accepts first-time travelers. After a candidate signs and confirmation is sent, the manager has 48 hours to review the profile and confirmation to determine whether the unit, schedule, and expertise are a fit. An Aya offer is available only if the candidate passes clinical review within RTO guidelines and meets facility requirements. RTO is limited to a maximum of seven days. Holiday work expectations depend on the major holidays occurring during the assignment: work one holiday if one falls during the assignment; work both if two fall during it; and work two if three fall during it. Major holidays listed are Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. Full compliance is required to start on time; otherwise, the start may be pushed back two weeks because orientation is biweekly. Non-billable orientation hours depend on contract length (for example, 8 hours for an 8-week assignment and 10 hours for a 10-week assignment).
