About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse supporting general surgery services at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska. The nurse will join a clinical team providing care throughout the surgical experience, including preoperative and postoperative education, surgical coordination, and postoperative recovery support.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted RN license from any U.S. jurisdiction.
• One year of RN experience within the last two years.
• One year of experience in a Surgery Clinic, Step-Down Unit, ICU, or PACU within the last five years.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS and PALS certification, or ability to obtain them within the first two months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide preoperative and postoperative patient education.
• Coordinate surgical scheduling and patient care.
• Support postoperative recovery and PACU services as assigned.
• Administer medications and monitor patient conditions.
• Assist with clinical procedures and surgical care coordination.
