About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to support general surgery services at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska. The nurse will join a clinical team providing care throughout the surgical experience, including patient education, surgical coordination, postoperative recovery, and PACU support as assigned. This is a full-time position with a Monday–Friday schedule, 40 hours per week.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted RN license from any U.S. jurisdiction.
• At least 1 year of RN experience within the last 2 years.
• At least 1 year of experience in a Surgery Clinic, Step-Down Unit, ICU, or PACU within the last 5 years.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS and PALS certification, or ability to obtain both within the first 2 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide preoperative and postoperative patient education.
• Coordinate surgical scheduling and patient care.
• Support postoperative recovery and PACU services as assigned.
• Administer medications and monitor patient conditions.
• Assist with clinical procedures and surgical care coordination.
