About The Position

IMS is seeking a professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable Registered Nurse for its Cardiology clinic. Under physician supervision, the RN facilitates patient treatments in the office and assists the physician with treatment plans while supporting IMS’s mission, vision, and values. The position is PRN, and travel may be required depending on business needs. Hours may vary and may extend outside normal office hours.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with licensure in the State of Arizona.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab and 1 year in critical care.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
• Ability to manage multiple changing priorities effectively and in an organized fashion.
• Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA guidelines, including securing Protected Health Information at all times.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Take patients’ medical histories and vital signs under physician supervision and record the information in the EHR system.
• Examine patients and assist with their treatment.
• Order necessary laboratory tests, track results, and ensure the physician reviews results in a timely manner.
• Record progress notes in the EHR system.
• Instruct and counsel patients on treatment plans.
• Order and carry out chemotherapy, including starting IVs, performing injections, and drawing blood samples.
• Travel as required by business needs.
