Emory Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in cardiac nursing to join their dynamic 23-bed unit. This unit specializes in the care of patients with complex medical and cardiac conditions, including advanced heart failure, pre and post interventional cardiology, managing vasoactive drips, left ventricular assist devices, and pacemaker placements. The nurse will also manage conditions such as COPD, GI bleeding, pneumonia, chest tubes, urinary tract infections, electrolyte imbalances, and liver/kidney disease. Additionally, the nurse will be responsible for managing a wide range of therapies, including chest tubes, tracheostomies, pain and diabetic management, insulin drips, peritoneal dialysis, and IV antibiotics. The unit maintains a targeted nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality care. The unit holds the PRISM Award and is involved in clinical trials, making it an environment for professional growth and innovation. The RN Clinician is an experienced healthcare professional with a strong understanding of patient care for a specific population, adapting to changing situations and personalizing care based on the AACN Synergy Model for Patient Care. They serve as a resource for colleagues and advocate for patients and families.
