About The Position

The Registered Nurse is a licensed professional who provides patient care in accordance with Enloe Medical Center’s standards, policies, and practices. The RN prioritizes patient needs, coordinates care, and collaborates with other members of the patient care team to provide care in accordance with the medical plan of care.

This position is in the NTSICU and works nights in 12-hour shifts, with variable days off and 72 hours per pay period. The role requires technical competence, professional clinical judgment, effective communication, and sensitivity to patients and families in crisis. The nurse must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

Requirements

• Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current PALS certification within six months of hire.
• Current NIH Stroke Scale Certification within six months of hire; the department tracks this certification.
• Basic Arrhythmia training or equivalent within one year of hire.
• Hemodynamics training or equivalent within one year of hire.
• Critical Care Course or equivalent within one year of hire.
• Demonstrated technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills, and sensitivity for patients and families in crisis.
• Ability to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

Nice To Haves

• One year of acute nursing experience.
• One year of recent Critical Care RN experience.
• One year of recent Intensive Care Unit experience.
• Previous Paramedic, ED Triage Tech, EMT, ED Tech, or Lift Tech experience.
• Basic Arrhythmia, Hemodynamics, or Critical Care Course.
• CNRN certification.
