Registered Nurse (RN) - OR General Surgery
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care using the nursing process. The RN coordinates care collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and families; communicates the patient's clinical condition as appropriate; and responds promptly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. The role requires knowledge of growth and development across the life span and the skills to provide age-appropriate care to the patient population served. The RN promotes the nursing profession and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. This position reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Maintain a current Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut.
- Have CPR certification upon hire.
- Previous surgical experience or labor and delivery experience specifically assisting with C-sections is required.
