Registered Nurse (RN) - OR General Surgery
About The Position
Utilizing the nursing process, the Registered Nurse provides high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care. The RN coordinates care collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and families, and communicates the patient’s clinical condition as appropriate. The RN responds quickly and accurately to changes in the patient’s condition or response to treatment. The role requires knowledge of growth and development across the life span and the skills needed to provide age-appropriate care to the patient population served. The RN promotes the nursing profession and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. The position reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Maintain a current Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut.
- Have Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification upon hire.
- Previous surgical or labor and delivery experience is required, specifically experience assisting with C-sections.
