About The Position

Registered professional nurse who assesses, implements or delegates, plans, and evaluates total nursing care and functions in accordance with established philosophy, providing and directing patient care for a group of patients. Relates effectively with other shifts/departments for optimal continuity of care. The 3 West unit is a 33-bed Medical Surgical Orthopedic Trauma and Surgical Unit that provides quality patient care to a diverse patient population, ranging from young adults to geriatrics. The specialty focus for 3 West is orthopedics trauma and surgery, including total joint replacements and fractures. 3 West offers a Joint Mobility Camp for patients who have undergone joint procedures and provides a learning-conducive comprehensive orientation that uses interdisciplinary collaboration.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
• Valid Texas RN License/Eligible Compact License
• Must maintain a current BLS certification from American Heart Association
• BSN required or must be obtained within 3 years.

Nice To Haves

• Med-surg certification preferred and encouraged
