RN, Registered Nurse Float: FT 7p-7a
About The Position
Firelands Health is seeking a Registered Nurse Float to join their team. This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week on the night shift, from 7pm to 7am. The role involves implementing the nursing process with patients, including carrying out physician orders, performing assessments, monitoring patient care, and documenting interventions. The nurse will also instruct patients, staff, and family members, respond to emergencies, and maintain the availability of medications and supplies. The position requires demonstrating service excellence and acting as an ambassador for Firelands Health.
Requirements
- Current Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care experience.
- Current ACLS, Basic EKG, and PALS required or obtained within 6 months of hire and remain current.
- Excelled organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.
Responsibilities
- Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
- Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
- Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
- Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
- Demonstrate service excellence and acts as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
