About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients. The role delivers direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse directs and supervises other assigned team members and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age- and developmentally appropriate care in accordance with unit standards of care.

This position works a 12-hour night shift from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., three shifts per week, at Methodist Richardson Medical Center. The hospital is a 443-bed, full-service acute care hospital serving Richardson, Garland, Plano, and surrounding areas in Dallas and Collin counties. It is a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center and provides additional services through its Campus for Continuing Care, including behavioral health and addiction recovery, inpatient rehabilitation, and long-term acute care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Current additional certifications as required by the department.
• Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas, or eligibility to obtain one.
• At least 12 months of RN experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
