About The Position

The Registered Nurse works in Ortho Trauma at Seton Medical Center Austin in Kyle, Texas, on a full-time day shift. The nurse implements and monitors patient care plans; monitors, records, and communicates patient condition; coordinates care across disciplines; carries out physician and nursing orders; and collaborates with the healthcare team on discharge planning.

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross credentials are accepted.
• Registered Nurse credential from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained before hire or job transfer.
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
