Registered Nurse - Med Surg Ortho Trauma
About The Position
Registered Nurse (RN) on Trinity Health Grand Rapids 7 Main works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care, and facilitates all aspects of the patient visit experience. The 47-bed unit primarily serves a general medical/surgical population and specializes in orthopedic and trauma care. Nurses can expect to see a wide variety of diagnoses, including elective joint procedures and trauma cases as the hospital expands its orthopedic surgery program. The position is full-time on the night shift, with three 12-hour shifts per week. The facility is Magnet-designated and has active shared decision-making councils, with a focus on improving outcomes and providing exceptional experiences for patients, staff, and the community.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing school and program.
- Licensed in the State of Michigan.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience as a Registered Nurse is required.
- New graduates must apply through the Residency program.
- In Grand Rapids, nurses with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) must enroll in a BSN program within six months of hire and complete it within four years of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Specialty credentials preferred according to clinical nursing practice specialty.
