About The Position
VitalHire is hiring a travel Registered Nurse to work in the Operating Room at an acute care hospital in West Des Moines, Iowa. This is a 13-week assignment with one opening, starting November 2, 2026. The position is scheduled for a day shift from 06:45 to 17:15, totaling 40 hours per week. Weekly pay is $2,641, calculated at $66.03 per hour for 40 hours per week. Eligible travelers may receive a housing and meals stipend of up to $1,414 per week, based on the GSA FY2027 maximum for this location. VitalHire provides weekly direct deposit and a dedicated recruiter who supports nurses from submission through their last shift. The company also offers assistance with licensing, credentialing, and onboarding. Contract extensions and new assignments are often available.
Requirements
- Active Iowa RN license or a multistate compact license accepted by Iowa.
- At least 2 years of recent Operating Room experience in acute care.
- BLS certification; ACLS is typically required.
