About The Position
VitalHire is hiring a travel Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room at an acute care hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. The assignment pays $2,377 per week, based on $66.03 per hour for 36 hours per week. Eligible travelers may receive up to $1,414 per week in housing and meals stipends, based on the stated GSA FY2027 maximum for the location. Available shifts include day hours from 07:00 to 19:30 and night hours from 18:30 to 07:00 or 19:00 to 07:30, each at 36 hours per week. Assignments are 13 or 26 weeks, with some openings described as six-month contracts. Start dates are November 2, 2026, and November 16, 2026. There are seven openings. VitalHire offers weekly direct deposit, recruiter support throughout the assignment, help with licensing, credentialing, and onboarding, and the possibility of contract extensions or new assignments.
Requirements
- Active Iowa RN license, or a multistate compact license accepted in Iowa.
- At least 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience in acute care.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- PALS and TNCC are typically required for ER.
