About The Position

Voorhees Pediatric Facility is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Clinical/Nursing department, working nights in a long-term care setting. The nurse provides holistic care to medically fragile infants, children, adolescents, and young adults, including residents with significant medical complexities and potential cognitive impairments. Under the direction and supervision of a registered professional nurse, the Registered Nurse administers nursing care in accordance with facility policies and procedures, the New Jersey Nurse Practice Act, and the job description. The schedule is three 12-hour shifts per week, totaling 36 hours. Compensation is $47.72 per hour plus a $1.00-per-hour night differential. A $3,500 sign-on bonus is paid in installments at 30 days, 90 days, and six months after hire, subject to applicable eligibility requirements.

Requirements

Current RN licensure.
Current, active CPR certification.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Timekeeping skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage the demands of multiple residents with prompt attention and care.

Nice To Haves

One year of pediatric experience is preferred; candidates with experience in other specialties will also be considered.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to medically fragile infants, children, adolescents, and young adults in a long-term care setting.
Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
Assess residents and update plans of care and clinical documentation in accordance with facility and Department of Health requirements.
Prepare residents for scheduled therapies, school, recreation, dining, and other activities.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Provide care in accordance with the facility's policies and procedures, the New Jersey Nurse Practice Act, and the job description.
