Registered Nurse - PRN Weekend
About The Position
Amedisys is hiring a PRN weekend Registered Nurse for home care, with day shifts and home care experience. The RN coordinates and oversees patients’ home care, collaborates with patient care teams on care plans, provides clinical care and education to patients’ families, and communicates progress to the clinical manager, physician, and care team. The role also supervises LPNs and HHAs and completes timely, accurate documentation. The stated pay range is $40.00–$48.00. Requirements
- One year of clinical experience as a registered nurse; candidates with less than one year must be approved by the VP of Clinical.
- Current RN license specific to the state(s) assigned.
- At least six months of home health experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance.
- Ability to assess patient status and identify requirements related to age-specific needs.
- Familiarity with general computer use and functions, including usernames and passwords, internet and email, desktop navigation, programs, files, windows, navigation buttons, and toolbars; ability to use online HR services and training programs.
- Candidates with less than six months of clinical RN experience must participate in the RN Intern program.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of patients’ home care.
- Collaborate with patient care teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Educate families on patient conditions, needs, and care.
- Perform head-to-toe physical assessments.
- Check vital signs and manage medications.
- Administer injections, IV therapy, or tube feedings.
- Administer and maintain catheters.
- Complete documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Supervise LPNs and HHAs.
- Regularly communicate patient progress to the clinical manager, physician, and care team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
