About The Position

VitalHire is hiring a per diem Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department (ED/ER) at an acute care hospital in Marrero, Louisiana. Nurses can use an app to choose available shifts and confirm their schedules, with options to work day, mid, or night shifts. Shifts are 12 hours; orientation shifts are scheduled during the day. The hourly rate is $48.75. Orientations are currently taking place, and credentialing is available while openings remain.

Requirements

At least 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience.
Active and unencumbered Louisiana RN license or compact license.
Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Negative TB test within the last 12 months.
Hepatitis B series or titer.
MMR series or titer.
Tdap vaccine within the last 10 years or titer.
Varicella series or titer.

Responsibilities

Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity using emergency nursing protocols.
Provide emergency nursing care, including medication administration, IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, and trauma response.
Collaborate with physicians and the care team on rapid interventions, codes, and patient stabilization.
Accurately document care and follow infection control, patient safety, and throughput protocols.
