About The Position

As a Registered Nurse at the Wyoming Girls’ School, a therapeutic and educational facility for the treatment of court-ordered delinquent girls ages 12-21, you will play a pivotal role in providing holistic care and support to our residents. Your role will involve administering medications, providing treatments, coordinating healthcare services, and educating both residents and staff on health-related matters. Additionally, you will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that address the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of our residents. As an RN for the Wyoming Girl’s School, you will enjoy a flexible weekday schedule. To be successful in this position, you will need to be self-motivated and independent due to the autonomy you will have in this position.

Requirements

  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming
  • Associate's Degree (typically in Nursing)
  • 0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing) with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming
  • 3-5 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing) with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN

Responsibilities

  • Provides professional nursing services to teen female adolescents in a residential setting.
  • Performs nursing assessment, diagnosis, treatment & evaluation of residents.
  • Provides continuous care of residents through assessing, evaluating, and implementing processes to assure appropriate care and outcomes.
  • Accurately prepares and administers medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
  • Triages calls from staff and handles routine concerns and emergencies.
  • Communicates with the Physician and follows through on orders as appropriate.
  • Reviews lab values and consults reports.
  • Provides formal assessments, documentation, and progress notes.
  • Monitors all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity.
  • Arranges for and conducts nursing clinics and classes; teaches individuals and groups in health promotion and disease prevention.
