About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) for Vascular Access at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital will be responsible for providing direct patient care and ensuring patient safety, physical, psychological, and social needs are met. This role involves honoring the worth of humans through unconditional acceptance, understanding patients' frames of reference, and engaging families in healthcare. The RN will utilize mutual problem-solving approaches, attentive reassurance, and an encouraging manner to support patients and families through their health and illness journeys. Creating a healing environment that provides privacy, safety, confidentiality, and tranquility is also a key aspect of this position. Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma Nursing required OR Associate's Degree Nursing required OR Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
  • 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in PICC placement as well as ultrasound guided peripheral IV placement (USGPIV) highly preferred
  • VA-BC – Vascular Access Board Certification upon hire preferred
