The vascular access department supports all adult inpatient and outpatient units by placing PICC lines, midlines and assisting with ultrasound guided PIVs. We provide trouble shooting for vascular access complications and play a pivotal role in CLABSI reduction by managing central line dressings and collection of blood cultures on all patients with central lines. This role offers self-scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth. The department also has a Unit Based Council (UBC) and an engaged leadership team.
