About The Position

The Registered Nurse - Pre-Op/PACU works at Henry Ford Providence Novi Hospital and rotates between the Pre-Op and PACU departments. The position provides compassionate, patient-centered care by coordinating and delivering nursing services and supporting patients and families through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans. The schedule is four 10-hour shifts each week, with shifts listed as 5:30 a.m.–4 p.m. and 9 a.m.–7:30 p.m. On-call, holiday, and weekend rotations are required.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS).
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year minimum experience in an ED, ICU, or acute care setting PACU.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care.
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and families.
• Communicate relevant patient and family information to the healthcare team.
• Help identify and implement solutions when care varies from patient goals.
