About The Position

Midwest Pain Clinics is seeking a Registered Nurse with Pre-Op and PACU experience to support patients before and after procedures at its Omaha practice. The role includes assessing patients, monitoring recovery, providing nursing care, and coordinating with physicians and the clinical team to promote safe, effective patient outcomes. The position offers a consistent weekday schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Associate degree in Nursing required.
Current BLS certification.
Previous Pre-Op and PACU experience.
Ability to start and manage IVs.
Strong patient assessment, vital sign monitoring, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
At least one year of operating room and/or post-anesthesia care experience.
Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) credential.
Experience with surgical procedures and C-arm/fluoroscopy.

Responsibilities

Complete preoperative assessments, obtain patient histories, and document findings.
Monitor vital signs, level of consciousness, and patient condition before and after procedures.
Initiate IVs and provide nursing care in accordance with established protocols.
Identify changes in patient condition and promptly communicate concerns to providers.
Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans.
Educate and communicate with patients and families regarding care and recovery.
Maintain accurate patient records and document nursing interventions in the electronic health record.
Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and facility policies.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
