About The Position

Saint Alphonsus is hiring a Registered Nurse for its 36-bed Ortho Medical/Surgical Unit in Nampa. The unit cares for patients with medical, surgical, and orthopedic needs, including a broad range of conditions and illnesses, wound care, and minor trauma cases.

This is a full-time day position with three 12-hour shifts per week, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and rotating weekends. The unit uses a Together Care Team Model that includes Virtual RNs, bedside RNs, and CNAs. This collaborative structure supports patient care and offers opportunities to grow into other specialties, including Emergency Room and Critical Care.

The RN provides professional nursing care in collaboration with the healthcare team, including ongoing assessment, care planning, and treatment for patients and families. The role also includes delegation, teaching patients and families, and promoting physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being while using resources wisely.

Requirements

• Hold an active Registered Nurse license in the State of Idaho, as defined by the Idaho State Board of Nursing.
• Multistate license holders must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire.
• Hold Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross at hire; ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in collaboration with members of the healthcare team.
• Assess patients and families on an ongoing basis and participate in planning and treatment.
• Use resources wisely while promoting patients’ physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being.
• Provide hands-on nursing care, delegate care, and plan patient care and treatment.
• Teach patients and their families.
