About The Position

Saint Alphonsus is hiring a Registered Nurse for its 36-bed Ortho Medical/Surgical Unit in Nampa. The unit cares for patients with medical, surgical, and orthopedic needs, including a wide range of medical conditions and illnesses, wound care, and minor trauma cases. The unit uses the Together Care Team Model, bringing together Virtual RNs, bedside RNs, and CNAs in a collaborative, supportive learning environment. The model also offers opportunities for professional growth into specialties such as Emergency Room and Critical Care.

This is a part-time day position with self-scheduling: three 12-hour shifts per two-week pay period, from 7 to 7, with rotating weekends.

Requirements

• Be licensed in Idaho as a Registered Nurse as defined by the Idaho State Board of Nursing.
• Multistate license holders must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire.
• Have Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross at hire; ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in collaboration with the health care team through ongoing assessment, planning, and treatment of patients and families.
• Use resources wisely while promoting patients’ physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being.
• Provide hands-on nursing care and perform duties including delegation, assessment, care planning, treatment, and teaching patients and their families.
