About The Position

National Spine & Pain Centers is seeking a Per Diem Pre-op/PACU Registered Nurse to work at its surgery center in Lady Lake. The schedule is as needed, Monday through Friday, with flexible daytime hours. The role assesses patients before and after surgery, interprets information from monitoring equipment, and evaluates progress toward outcomes using relevant scoring systems and discharge criteria.

Requirements

• Valid Florida Registered Nurse license or Compact State license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications, or ability to obtain ACLS within 30 days of employment.
• Knowledge of EMR systems and technologies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment while demonstrating resourcefulness and proactivity.

Nice To Haves

• Pre-op/PACU experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ preoperative and postoperative status at intervals according to facility or healthcare organization policies and procedures.
• Accurately interpret information from various noninvasive and invasive monitors.
• Evaluate patient progress toward outcomes using relevant scoring systems and discharge criteria, such as the Aldrete Score and Post Anesthesia Discharge Scoring System, as defined by organizational policy.
