About The Position

The Registered Nurse is responsible for comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized resident care. The role supports quality care, supervises nursing staff, and ensures compliance with clinical and regulatory standards. This is an on-call/per diem position on the F2 unit, working AM shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
Current CPR certification.
Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing.
Skill in clinical assessment, supervision, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Two years of acute or long-term care experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and initiate individualized care plans based on resident needs upon admission.
Continuously assess residents and update care plans accordingly.
Communicate significant changes in residents’ conditions to appropriate health care team members.
Implement nursing interventions, including discharge planning and resident education as needed.
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
Serve as a clinical resource and provide guidance to LVNs and CNAs.
Conduct initial shift rounds to establish baseline assessments and oversee resident care.
Direct and supervise daily nursing care delivery on the unit.
Document care accurately, concisely, and in a timely manner.
Assume charge responsibilities and supervise unit operations in the absence of the head nurse.
Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, including Title 22.
Foster a professional and collaborative working environment among health care team members.
Accept reassignment as needed to ensure resident care needs are met.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
