About The Position

The Registered Nurse in ambulatory adult primary care at UVMMC’s Adult Primary Care Essex provides patient care with a primary focus on telephone triage. The role manages patient calls to determine the urgency of medical issues, the level of staff or provider response required, the appropriate care location when an in-person visit is needed, and appointment timing. The nurse collaborates with the healthcare team to provide quality care, using critical-thinking skills to assess patient needs and determine the right place, time, and next step for care. This is a bargaining union position.
