About The Position

IU Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Primary Care Clinic at Ball State University Health Center in Muncie. The nurse will work in a collaborative outpatient setting supporting a team of 10 providers, building long-term relationships with patients, supporting preventive care, and contributing to high-quality, patient-centered care and community health. The position requires at least one year of RN experience; upcoming and recent nurse graduates are directed to apply through IU Health’s nurse graduate pipeline requisition. This is a 0.6 FTE day-shift position with a flexible three-day schedule following training. Weekends and holidays are not required.

Requirements

At least one year of RN experience.
Associate of Nursing (ASN).
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program. Candidates without graduation from a nationally accredited program may be considered with more than two years of relevant clinical experience, subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA.
Awareness and understanding of the legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required according to unit or department specialty and patient care policies.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient primary care setting.
Support preventive care and build long-term relationships with patients.

Assess patients without face-to-face interaction when required.
Perform patient care activities in accordance with applicable legal considerations.
