About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Trauma ICU provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care. The RN coordinates and integrates patient care using the nursing process and directs care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection-control standards, with the goal of discharging patients after providing an optimum level of care. The position is on the day shift and is full time. A sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is available to qualified candidates and is paid over 24 months.

Requirements

Meet education requirements recognized by the State of Florida for Registered Nurse licensure.
Hold a Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
Hold BLS and ACLS certifications.
Have Basic EKG training.
Complete a critical care course and/or emergency care course that includes critical care didactic as part of the course.
Obtain PALS within six months.
For Trauma Resus and TICU, obtain TNCC within one year.
For Trauma Resus, obtain ENPC within one year.

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred.
Prior clinical experience in the area of expertise preferred.
CCRN preferred.
TCRN preferred.
For TSD, TNCC is optional.
For TICU and TSD, ENPC is optional.

Responsibilities

Report for scheduled shifts on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.
Attend and participate in meetings and take responsibility for information communicated at meetings.
Adhere to corporate, regional, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
Follow infection-control procedures at all times.
Adhere to environmental care standards.
Adapt care to varied age-specific patient populations.
Coordinate and integrate patient care using the nursing process.
Direct care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection-control standards.
