About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to patients and assumes responsibility for coordinating and integrating patient care based on the nursing process. The RN directs care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards, with the goal of discharging the patient after providing an optimum level of care.

This position is a full-time day-shift role in the Trauma ICU. A sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is available to qualified candidates and is paid over 24 months.

Requirements

• Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Registered Nurse licensure.
• Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• Basic EKG qualification.
• Critical care course and/or emergency care course that includes critical care didactic as part of the course.
• PALS certification within six months.
• TNCC within one year for Trauma Resus and TICU roles.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• Prior clinical experience in the area of expertise preferred.
• CCRN preferred.
• TCRN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report for scheduled shifts on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.
• Attend and participate in meetings and take responsibility for information communicated at meetings.
• Adhere to corporate, regional, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Follow infection control procedures.
• Adhere to environmental care standards.
• Adapt care to varied age-specific patient populations.
• Coordinate and integrate patient care based on the nursing process.
• Direct care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards.
