•$43 - $51•Onsite

About The Position

The Urgent Care & Adult Primary Care Registered Nurse is a member of the Urgent Care and Internal Medicine teams, providing clinical care across two outpatient settings. The role combines urgent-care triage and treatment with continuity-focused adult primary care, including chronic disease management, care coordination, health maintenance, and patient education. The nurse uses clinical judgment and established protocols to assess patient needs, coordinate follow-up, and ensure timely and appropriate care, including escalation or transfer to a higher level of care when indicated. The position supports providers and works collaboratively with medical assistants, behavioral health staff, administrative staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. The nurse contributes to patient flow and care delivery, leads the medical response team during higher-acuity situations, and provides safe, culturally responsive care to a diverse and often underserved population. This is a full-time, non-exempt, on-site position, primarily at the 409 West Broadway location, with occasional coverage at 505 Congress Street and other assigned SBCHC locations as needed. The schedule includes daytime and evening hours until 7 p.m. and rotating Saturday coverage. The nurse is the sole nurse in the Urgent Care Department for most of the shift. Reliable and punctual attendance is essential.
