Registered Nurse
About The Position
DaVita is hiring a compassionate Registered Nurse for its outpatient dialysis team, serving the Brighton Park and Kenwood locations in Chicago. The role offers paid specialty onboarding and one-on-one preceptorship for nurses without prior dialysis experience, with support to develop skills in nephrology nursing and provide patient-centered care. Nurses manage personalized dialysis treatments, monitor patient vital signs, collaborate with patient care technicians, dietitians, and social workers, and educate patients and families about kidney health and wellness. Clinics generally operate Monday through Saturday, with early morning starts as early as 4:00 AM, no overnight shifts, and Sundays closed. Two Saturdays per month are required. Schedules, shift lengths, and Saturday rotation vary by clinic. This is a shared opening between the Kenwood and Brighton Park locations. DaVita offers a structured clinical ladder, tuition reimbursement of $3,000 per year, leadership development, and career training through its StarLearning platform. The role offers performance-based pay and advancement opportunities. The stated wage range is $39.00–$55.00 per hour, with compensation dependent on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- CPR certification.
- Basic EKG interpretation.
- At least 2 years of experience with acutely ill patients; ICU, ER, or Med/Surg experience is preferred.
- Strong assessment, time management, and communication skills.
