About The Position

Provides care that is individualized and meets the physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial needs of residents. This role involves obtaining and transcribing orders, notifying physicians of resident status changes, and providing leadership to CNAs and LPNs. The Registered Nurse is responsible for ensuring adherence to all policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations, as well as completing new admissions paperwork and administering medications and treatments.

Requirements

• Two (2) years of Medical/Surgical, Rehab, or Geriatric Nursing
• Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License
• Current CPR Certification

Responsibilities

• Provides care that is individualized and meets the physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial needs of residents.
• Obtains and transcribes all written and telephone orders promptly ensuring telephone order forms are complete.
• Notifies physician and responsible party of changes in resident status.
• Provides leadership and guidance to CNAs and LPNs; ensures that all policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations are practiced.
• Completes all new admissions paperwork timely, including nursing assessment.
• Prepares and administers medications and treatments as needed.
