About The Position
Full and Part-time Night shift (6:00pm-6:30am) RN positions available at the Central Nebraska Veterans' Home in Kearney. The starting wage for RNs is $36.566/hr-$48.797/hr, with an additional $3 differential for any hours worked, bringing the total to $39.566/hr-$51.797/hr. Pay rate may be commensurate with experience. Additional shift differentials of $1.50-$2.50 and a $200 monthly bonus for commutes of 30 miles or more are also offered.
Requirements
- A current license to practice as a registered nurse in Nebraska or authority based on the Nurse Licensure Compact to practice as a registered nurse in Nebraska.
- Must pass background checks and complete pre-employment drug screening.
- Knowledge of nursing theory and practice; accepted standards of care; policies and procedures governing nursing care; sanitation and infection control standards, policies and procedures and techniques of providing quality nursing care.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and push/pull occasionally up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis; to frequently bend at the waist and neck and frequently twist at the waist and walk or stand up to 50% of the shift.
Responsibilities
- Coordination of client care services to include comprehensive admission assessment and care plans.
- Provide nursing care and on-going assessment.
- Provide direction and nursing leadership in the accomplishment of care plan and unit care team activities.
- Act as client advocate and is a leader in quality improvement, safety and infection control.
