About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Surgery administers direct and indirect care to patients undergoing pre-anesthesia, post-anesthesia, and outpatient pre- and post-procedure care. Care is provided according to the standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures established for the unit. The nurse also performs in-services and serves as a preceptor for new employees.

Requirements

• Associate degree.
• Valid Texas RN license.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience in a Medical-Surgical floor, SDS, or critical care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer direct and indirect care to patients undergoing pre-anesthesia, post-anesthesia, and outpatient pre- and post-procedure care.
• Provide care in accordance with unit standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Perform in-services.
• Act as a preceptor for new employees.
