About The Position

The Registered Nurse will provide labor and delivery and OBED patient care at Ascension Seton Medical Center in Austin, Texas. The role is full-time on the day shift. Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, monitoring and communicating patient conditions, coordinating care across disciplines, carrying out physician and nursing orders, and coordinating discharge planning with the healthcare team. A $30,000 sign-on bonus is listed.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse credential obtained prior to hire or job transfer.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider credential obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Experience in Labor and Delivery and ED.
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at time of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced Life Support; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program.
• Neonatal Resuscitation credential from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
