About The Position

Medical City Alliance is hiring a full-time, night-shift Registered Nurse for its Medical-Surgical department. The nurse delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with departmental requirements and applicable state and specialty standards. Working with medical providers and the care team, the nurse provides personalized, comprehensive, compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The role also advocates for patients, families, and caregivers while supporting the organization’s mission, values, patient experience, and clinical outcomes.

Requirements

• Associate degree required.
• Registered Nurse license and eligibility to practice in Texas required.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
• BSN required within three years of employment.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• Acute Care RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients on admission and during each scheduled shift, and promptly identify and report changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical providers, and document care administration thoroughly and promptly in the medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic responses, and take appropriate action for unintended medication responses.
• Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate patient needs, and resolve them.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, translating complex medical terminology to support understanding.
