Registered Nurse - Emergency Department - Nights
About The Position
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients. The nurse delivers direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role directs and supervises assigned team members and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age- and developmentally appropriate care in accordance with unit standards of care. The position is scheduled for 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on a 12-hour, three-shift night schedule. Methodist Midlothian Medical Center is a 46-bed, full-service acute care hospital in Midlothian, Texas, serving Midlothian and northern Ellis County. Its services include emergency care, advanced surgery, imaging, and labor and delivery. The hospital has 16 emergency department beds, two operating suites, and digital and medical technologies. It states that it welcomes the skills and talents of all groups and strives for a diverse workforce reflecting the communities it serves.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Current additional certifications as required by the department.
- Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas, or eligibility to obtain one.
- At least 6 months of RN experience.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
