About The Position

A registered nurse in the Emergency Department renders professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients. The nurse provides direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role directs and supervises assigned team members and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age- and developmentally appropriate care in accordance with unit standards of care.

The position is based at Methodist Midlothian Medical Center, a 46-bed acute care hospital in Midlothian, Texas, with 16 emergency department beds. The hospital provides emergency care, advanced surgery, imaging, labor and delivery, and other services, and uses digital and medical technologies.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Current additional certifications as required by the department.
• Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas, or eligibility to obtain one.
• At least 6 months of RN experience.

• BSN preferred.
