Registered Nurse RN - Medical Surgical
About The Position
The Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical department at Resurrection Medical Center delivers safe, direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN is accountable for the care of assigned patients and works within the scope of practice, guiding patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The nurse communicates with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptoms, and responds promptly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. This is a full-time night position, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with rotating weekends and holidays. New graduates are welcome.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain certification.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain certification.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities

- Respond promptly and accurately to changes in patients’ conditions or responses to treatment.
