About The Position

The Registered Nurse in Interventional Radiology utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintains professional accountability for the care of assigned patients. The role evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. The nurse maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information and performs duties in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards. This is a PRN position at Mercy in Fort Smith.

Requirements

Graduated from a school of nursing with an Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN.
Obtain and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure for the state where nursing duties are performed, and meet all state board of nursing requirements.
Have Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successfully complete the course within 30 days of hire.
Be able to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
Be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods during each shift.
Be able to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Nice To Haves

Depending on the position or unit, one or more certifications may be required, or may need to be obtained within the department’s required timeframe: ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E. Six Assessment & Care Modules, C-EFM, or other unit-specific certifications.
