About The Position

We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses for a 38-bed unit focused on Medical/Surgical and Telemetry care. The ideal candidate has a strong background in adult patient care, particularly with patients over age 65, and experience managing diagnoses including trauma, falls, fractures, and motor vehicle accidents. The unit has a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5 and prioritizes patient safety and quality care. Its clinical focus includes trauma management, administration of heparin drips and acute medications as ordered, prevention of hospital-acquired delirium and falls, early mobility, and hospital-acquired pressure injury (HAPI) prevention. Nurses deliver care in a fast-paced environment, communicate with families and involve them in care planning, use specialty and physical therapy equipment, and follow best practices in geriatrics and trauma care.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Proven experience in MedSurg and telemetry nursing.
• Ability to demonstrate documented experience and competencies in relevant clinical areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Effectively communicate with families and involve them in the care planning process.
• Utilize specialty equipment, including gait belts and geriatric chairs, as well as physical therapy equipment.
• Adhere to best practices in geriatrics and trauma care.
• Manage trauma patients.
• Administer heparin drips and acute medications as ordered.
• Support preventative care strategies for hospital-acquired delirium and falls, early mobility initiatives, and HAPI prevention.
