About The Position

Northwest Specialty Pre-Op/PACU Unit is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused RN for a per-diem position, likely one shift per week. The RN directs and provides professional nursing care in the Pre-Op and PACU Unit and is expected to work in both pre-op and recovery. The typical patient-to-nurse ratio is 2:1, though it may vary based on department needs. The role uses the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to direct or provide care. Duties also include delegating nursing assignments, preparing schedules, overseeing admissions and discharges, and monitoring and ordering medicines and supplies.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure in the State of Idaho.
• Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Obtain ACLS certification within six months of employment.
• Obtain PALS certification within six months of employment.
• Demonstrated verbal and written English communication skills for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards.
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
• Awareness of professional nursing standards and ability to perform in accordance with them.

Nice To Haves

• Previous PACU, critical care, or emergency room experience is strongly preferred.
• BSN preferred.
