About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of the patient care team and delivers direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in assigned areas. The RN assesses patients upon admission by gathering their medical history, current medical status, vital signs, laboratory results, imaging, and other diagnostic test information. The RN also helps plan and carry out a written care plan under the guidance of a physician.

The position is in the Emergency Department and is scheduled for day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM. Holiday coverage is required.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience.
• Active New Hampshire RN license or eligibility to obtain one.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination sufficient for effective medication administration.

Nice To Haves

• CPI certification is preferred.
• Certification in specialty areas is preferred.
• Membership in a professional nursing organization is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients upon admission using appropriate techniques and gather medical history, current medical status, vital signs, lab results, imaging, and other diagnostic test information.
• Plan and execute written care plans under the guidance of a physician.
• Perform standard assessments using basic medical equipment.
• Administer medications effectively.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Meet established job performance and safety standards.
• Interact positively with team members and patients.
• Respect patients’ culture, lifestyle, religion, and age when planning and providing care.
• Respond constructively to feedback and manage emotional reactions positively.
• Provide holiday coverage.
