About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides specialized care for patients with urinary tract and reproductive system conditions in an ambulatory urology setting. The role includes patient assessment, telephone triage, assistance with minor office procedures, urinary catheter management, and education on chronic or postsurgical care. This is a full-time position with eight-hour shifts Monday through Friday; hours vary between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. There are no weekend or holiday shifts.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an ADN or BSN degree.
• One to two years of general nursing experience.
• Florida RN license.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication skills to address sensitive and personal health topics with empathy.

• Previous ambulatory care or urology background.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical assessments and record detailed patient medical histories.
• Assist urologists during office-based diagnostic exams and minor procedures, such as cystoscopies or urodynamic studies.
• Insert, irrigate, and troubleshoot Foley, suprapubic, or intermittent urinary catheters.
• Evaluate patient symptoms by phone and coordinate urgent care.
• Educate patients on bladder retraining, pelvic floor exercises, self-catheterization, and prescribed medications.
• Document care accurately in the EPIC electronic health record system.
