Experienced Registered Nurse, SICU/CTICU, 36 hours, Day/Night Rotation
About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) Surgical ICU/CTICU 36 Hours Day/Night Rotation with an every third weekend commitment and holiday rotation. The Surgical Intensive Care Unit is a 24-bed high acuity unit with clinical specialties in General Surgery, Trauma, Transplant, and Cardiothoracic Surgery. As a level one trauma center, we work closely with our multidisciplinary teams to provide high quality, patient centered care. In addition, this unit sees a wide variety of acutely ill patients who may require additional acute therapies. Our nurses are experts in caring for these patient populations and are continuously enhancing their knowledge to ensure we are up to date with the latest practices and technologies. We, as members of this team, are committed to the delivery of safe, high-quality care to our patients and their families. The Surgical Intensive Care Unit offers a professional pathway for those nurses looking to build their resume and progress in their career. Lahey Clinic utilizes EPIC for computerized charting and medication administration. Computerized self-scheduling is available along with every third weekend rotation.
Requirements
- BLS required
- At least 1 year of previous of Nursing experience in acute care or sub-acute setting required
- Massachusetts registered Nurse license required.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- PC skills
- Lifting 75 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred
- ACLS certification preferred
- Critical Care and Telemetry experience preferred
