This position is for a PRN Registered Nurse on a Telemetry/Observation Unit. The unit has 30 beds and specializes in cardiac, medical, and surgical patients. The role offers an individualized, comprehensive orientation program, a residency program for new graduates, and provides a Basic Rhythm course, ACLS certification, and NIHSS course. A mentorship program is available after orientation, along with opportunities for committee participation and professional growth through a Clinical Ladder. There is a leadership presence on every shift, and this role can serve as a steppingstone to an ICU/CCU career. As a PRN position, the nurse will need to work a minimum of 24 hours off shift per 6-week schedule, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Shift and Weekend Differential are eligible. The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for implementing, directing, and coordinating patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, including recognition and treatment of physical and psychosocial changes unique to the age/population group served on the specific unit.
