About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) on the 7 North/South Medical Surgical Orthopedics Telemetry Unit at Atrium Health Mercy. The unit has 48 beds and primarily handles procedures such as total joint replacements (knee, hip, shoulder), spine surgeries, and general medical patients. The role involves providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and strong communication skills to ensure a safe patient environment and optimal patient experience. Requirements

  • At least 6 months required experience to come in outside of the New Grad residency program.
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state in which you work and reside or; if declaring a National License Compact (NLC) state as your primary state of residency, meet the licensure requirements in your home state; or for Non-National License Compact states, current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner required in the state where the RN works.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of inpatient nursing experience preferred.
  • BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
